Dominos are consisted of a simple composition, 2 out of 6 numbers on each half of the block. They might be very obvious, but still has room for graphical reinterpretations within the constraints. This month we questioned how the 6 numbers on the Dominos can be visualised differently.
Domino with Moiré patterns. Overlapped perforations with different angles creates 6 different Moiré patterns by size and shape.
Layered with colors. Half transparent layers laminated in glass blocks creates different densities of the color blue.
Dominos inspired by medieval metal frame structures. Numbers of tight-filled circles composed mathematically form six abstract geometric patterns.
